ENGINE – 59 AB Flathead Ford V8 with Denver heads and a 1949 Mercury HCM cam

 

BODY – Fabricated from sheet metal of salvage yard cars.  The rounded air deflector on top of the firewall was made from half of a headlight from a 1936 Plymouth

 

RADIATOR – c1938 Chrysler Imperial

 

STEERING BOX – 1941 Mercury

 

REAR END GEAR – 1942 Ford with Getz 5:56-1 ratchet gear

 

CARBORATION – Dual carburetors with fabricated air cleaner

 

FUEL TANK – Pressurized by reversing fuel pump and leaving fuel pump intake open

 

GENERATIOR – None

 

STARTER – None

 

FLYWHEEL – None

 

CLUTCH - None

 

TRANSMISSION GEARS – None

 

BATTERY – 6-volt “Hotshot” dry cell battery - the type that was normally used to power an electric fence

 

BRAKES – Rear wheel only.  No drums or backing plates on the front

 

CAR COLOR – Yellow with black lettering

 

TOTAL WEIGHT DRY – 1450 pounds
