This Ford coupe was owned by Oren Hamilton and raced very successfully early in 1952 by Frank Lies. Around mid-season that year, Hamilton sold the car to Joe Collins of Winfield, Kansas. Collins had the car painted yellow over navy blue and the number changed to #4. Over the next few years, the car continued to be a winner for Collins with drivers Charlie Lutkie, Bud Webster, and Bill Mears – Lies collection |
