Coleman led the entire race finishing an eighth of a mile ahead of second place.  Rogers, Lies and Ross battled for second place with Ross passing Lies twice but he was unable to close in on Coleman.  On the 14th lap, Lies passed both Rogers and Ross on the outside exiting the northwest turn and held on to finish in second place.
