Les Suter

Frank Lies

*Only two cars started the novelty race.  Participants had to stop their cars in the middle of the race, get out; drink a coke, then get back in their cars and complete the race.

**The purse totaled $362.50 for the afternoon and was paid out for total finishing positions for the day rather than for just one race.

All photographs on this web page, except the photos of Frankie Lies, are from the “Punch” Lemburg collection from the book Roaring Roadsters #2 by Don Radbruch.  The head photo of Frankie Lies is from the Loretta Cox collection while the photo of Lies in car #400 is from the Lies collection.
