Laverne Owens

This car was owned by John T. “Blinky” Bender and driven in races in northwestern, Kansas in the early 1960s by Laverne Owens.  Both men were from WaKeeney, Kansas.  Owens is pictured here.  The power plant was a straight-eight Chrysler – Mary Owens collection
