Cokeley was driving a car co-owned by Bob Kennemen and Mel Tuxhorn on this night and won a total of $17 from the purse for placing fourth in the consolation race and fourth in the A feature race.  Cokeley’s records do not break down how much of that was for which place or what the money split was between the driver and the car owners.

There were two cars in this race with the number 97.  Dale Carter of Ulysses started in second place in one of those cars.  Lyle Lewis of Dighton, Kansas started in seventh place in the other.  According to the finishing order as compiled by Dorothy (Mrs. Clarence) Cokeley, one of these cars placed in third place while the other did not complete the race.  Mrs. Cokeley did not defecate between the two cars in the finishing order so, unless additional information comes to light, it can not now be determined which of these cars placed third and which car did not finish.
