The cars driven by both Noland and Bruggeman tangled and rolled in the first turn on the second lap. Noland was able to get his car running again in time to restart the race while Bruggeman spent the night in the Ulysses hospital suffering from minor injuries. |

Coffman spun out in the second turn but was able to get back into the race although he was running in last place. He had worked his way back up to third place by the last lap when his car was struck by Cott’s car causing Coffman’s car to turn over. |
