The Winfield fairgrounds racetrack will be the location of another thrilling auto racing program the afternoon of July 4 under sponsorship of the Winfield Lions club.  Usual thrills of competitive racing sometimes are augmented with exciting collisions and other unscheduled events such as a wreck involving nine cars last Labor Day.

Bud Webster of Winfield, Kansas was driving the “8 Ball” Hudson sedan owned by Lawrence Brooks of Arkansas City, Kansas.  Do you know who was driving any of the other cars pictured here?
