Above is what the site looks like today where the Arkansas City Speedway (a.k.a. West Madison Speedway) was located.  This photo was taken on September 29, 2001 at a point just south of U. S. Highway 166 (foreground) about ½ mile west of the Arkansas River west of Arkansas City, Kansas and looking toward the northeast.
          The bridge over the Arkansas River is just visible at the far right side of this photo when you scroll to the right.
          The third small white building from the left above is located about where the third turn of the racetrack was.
          Today, the property is owned by the City of Arkansas City.  Those white buildings house water wells that supply the community with its drinking water
