Hendershot’s car overturned in the north turn and Berrath’s car crashed into both Hendershot’s car and the fence.

Cole’s car spun out on the eighth lap at the head of the front straight-away and stopped backward on the racetrack.  Due to heavy dust, several other cars crashed into Cole’s car, the fence, or other cars in the race before they could get stopped.

This was the first feature race that Woodside had ever won.
