Storey lost a wheel and crashed into the fence on the south turn.

Wade spun out in the south turn and both Endres and McCarty crashed into this stalled car.

Collins was leading this race on the final lap when he slid wide in a turn allowing both Petty and Pitts to slip past him.

Petty’s car was owned by Al Torson and Buddy Carroll of Wichita, Kansas.  Petty ran one cool down lap after this race and the car ran out of gas as he came down the front straightaway coasting to a stop in the infield near the southwest turn.

Just after Nelson crossed the finish line, his engine caught fire and he coasted to a stop on the back straightaway.

Just after Red Walker crossed the finish line, he broke an rear axle sending one of his back tires crashing into the south fence.
