Reed started this race in 14th place and worked his way steadily forward passing Richert on the final lap of the race. Reed then pulled away for the victory.
Reed was driving Fred F. Goodrich’s “Belle of Belleville” Chevrolet #67 from Belleville, Kansas.
It is unclear which race it occurred in but Otis “Ody” Fellows of Denver, Colorado flipped his race car twice on the front straightway. He suffered a fractured should and severe facial cuts in the accident.
