Butch Brack |
Great Bend, Kansas |
White attempting to pass Johnson on the inside in the north turn, Brack’s left front tire rode over a berm on the inside of the racetrack and the car overturned rolling several times and coming to rest near the outside wall. Johnson, still on the outside of Brack, kept moving up the track to miss the rolling car until Johnson ran out of room and came to a stop against the outside wall. Brack received a laceration to his tongue in the accident. The Hutchinson News reported that Montgomery won this trophy dash although other sources say that Ward was the victor. |
