Miller’s car slowed in the northeast turn with engine trouble and was struck from behind by Vogan’s car eliminating both cars from the race.
Borden’s car stalled in the mud just inside of the northwest turn.
Pickering’s car struck the outside wall in the northwest turn.
Only ten cars finished this race.
Points won on this day were combined with points earned on at the races run on this racetrack May 30, 1971 to determine the 1971 Kansas State Super Stock Champion.
