Nachicas crashed in the north turn taking out a section of the board fence.  Later, Nachicas blew a tire in the south turn turning his car sideways.  Hendershot, running close behind, could not miss Nachicas’ car and broadsided it causing Nachicas’ car to roll over twice landing on its wheels.  Even though the top of Nachicas’ car was crushed down level with the seats, no one was injured.

On the 134th lap, Roper spun his car around and through the inside fence on the north turn.  He cut across the infield to the midget racetrack, followed that around and rejoined the race.

McKim led the first 81 laps and the final 15 laps.  Other race leaders included Norman Horn.  McKim and Horn were the only two competitors to complete the full 200 laps.
