            The Hutchison News reported that Brian Powers of Wichita, Kansas and Michael Jones of Rose Hill, Kansas won modified heat races on this night rather than Delbert Smith and Rich Wilson, both of Wichita, Kansas.  In another article, the same newspaper reported the modified heat race winners as below.
