Ernest Leo “Red” Forshee

1916 - 2002

Harold Leep was the regular driver of this Ford sedan but “Red” Forshee of Wichita, Kansas drove it at Winfield, Kansas in 1953.  Lost in the dust, Forshee wound up crashing through the wooden fence that was around the infield of the Winfield racetrack.  The car was co-owned by Maurice B. "Junior" Smith and Jack Walker both of Wichita, Kansas.  Click your mouse on the picture to see a photo of Leep in the car – M. B. Smith collection
